Costco Reddit for Canadians: the best subreddits and deal communities, and what to double-check

The best Costco Reddit community for Canadians is r/CostcoCanada, "the sub for Canadians who like Costco", with about 247,000 members as of 2026. The much bigger r/Costco (about 1.6 million members) is mostly American, so its prices, payment rules and perks often don't apply here. For weekly sales, Canadians lean on two places outside Reddit: RedFlagDeals' Costco threads and the Costco West and East fan blogs. All of them are fan-run; none is affiliated with Costco.

What are the best Costco communities for Canadians?

Member counts are from reddapi.dev's index of Reddit, as Reddit's own counts can't be checked automatically.

What is the best Costco subreddit for Canadians?

r/CostcoCanada. Prices are in dollars you actually pay, policies are Costco Canada's, and members post finds by warehouse and province. It is the place to ask whether a product is in stock near you, what a Canadian return or membership question means in practice, or whether a deal is real.

Is r/Costco useful for Canadian shoppers?

For opinions on products, yes: many Kirkland Signature items and brand-name products are the same on both sides of the border, and r/Costco has far more reviews. For prices, payments and perks, no. U.S. prices are in U.S. dollars, U.S. warehouses take Visa, and U.S. Executive members get early shopping hours that Canadian warehouses don't offer.

Where do Canadians post Costco sales each week?

On RedFlagDeals, which runs separate weekly threads for Costco West (BC, AB, SK, MB) and Costco East, each packed with shelf photos of in-warehouse sales; one July week's West thread had 376 photos. Use them to see what is on sale at warehouses before you go. Sale prices and stock vary by warehouse, so a find in one city may not be in yours.

What are Cocowest and Cocoeast?

Two independent fan blogs that post Costco's weekly sales by region. Cocowest covers BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba and offers a paid membership with early access to posts. Cocoeast covers Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes, with a free email newsletter, and says it has no affiliation with or endorsement by Costco. Both follow a weekly rhythm: sales on Monday, the seasonal aisle midweek, weekend updates and food reviews.

Which Reddit Costco tips don't apply in Canada?

How do you check a Costco tip from Reddit?

Compare it with Costco's own pages and the date it was posted: policies and fees change, and a 2024 post may quote the old $60 Gold Star fee instead of today's $65. For a sale, check the dates in Costco's current savings, then whether the price is actually low on our deals page, which badges each deal against price history.

Where can you review your own Costco warehouse?

Here. Every warehouse page in our Costco locations directory takes member reviews (parking, lineups, the gas bar, stock), checked by our team before they appear, with your email kept private.
