How does Costco online pharmacy work?
At Costcopharmacy.ca you create an account, transfer your prescriptions or send in new ones (new prescriptions need your doctor's written prescription by mail or fax), confirm the order, and track it by email. Shipping is free by Canada Post Expedited Parcel, and orders arrive in two to five business days. Only participating provinces are served; Costcopharmacy.ca has the list.
Can you transfer a prescription to Costco?
Yes. Costco pharmacies accept transfers from other pharmacies, in the warehouse or online.
Do you need a membership to use Costco pharmacy?
Prescription rules are set provincially, and many members report that pharmacy-only visits don't need a membership card. Costco doesn't state a national rule, so call your warehouse pharmacy before you go. Non-prescription items in the pharmacy area are regular Costco purchases.
How much are prescriptions at Costco?
It depends on the drug, your province and your coverage, and we don't publish drug prices. Ask the pharmacy for the total including the dispensing fee, and compare it with your current pharmacy's total. Costco excludes pharmacy purchases from the Executive 2% reward; the CIBC Costco Mastercard still earns 1%.
